The Kleen Lab also consists of enthusiastic and committed medical/graduate students and other trainees with backgrounds in neuroscience, computer/data science, engineering, and/or machine learning. Since nearly all of the projects in the Lab investigate new questions with large and unique (and exciting!) datasets, applicants are required to have pre-existing skilled background in programming with either Matlab or Python, without exception.
Note: Use of LLMs (e.g. ChatGPT) to write code does not equate to the proficiency/skilled background required, and such programming tools will not be used in projects in this lab.
