Open Positions

For all positions below, we strongly encourage scholars from all backgrounds including women and underrepresented minorities to apply!

We are currently seeking enthusiastic applicants for the following positions to work on exciting new questions on the forefront of the neurophysiology of human memory and cognition, including the use of neurostimulation. This research is funded by the NIH and NSF, and will be in collaboration with the Chang Lab at UCSF. Proficiency in either Matlab or Python is required. Please email your CV and a brief statement of why you personally are interested to [email protected]:

1) Postdoctoral Researcher (more info here)

2) Data Engineer

The Kleen Lab also consists of enthusiastic and committed students, residents, and other trainees with backgrounds in neuroscience, computer/data science, engineering, and/or machine learning. Since nearly all of the projects in the Lab investigate new questions with large and unique (and exciting!) datasets, applicants are required to have pre-existing skills and background in programming with either Matlab or Python, without exception.

Note: Use of LLMs (e.g. ChatGPT) to write code does not equate to the proficiency/skilled background required, and such programming tools will not be used in formal projects in this lab.
